Light Up Ocala is a beloved, long-standing community tradition that kicks off the holiday season in downtown Ocala. This popular annual event attracts thousands of visitors who come to witness the transformation of the city center into a festive winter wonderland.

Visitors can enjoy live entertainment on multiple stages, browse and shop from over 100 craft, art, and food vendors, and participate in interactive experiences, including a dedicated Kids’ Zone. A highlight of the day is the Junior Sunshine holiday parade, which includes a special appearance by Santa Claus.
The grand finale of Light Up Ocala is the highly anticipated lighting ceremony, where the downtown area is officially illuminated with thousands of twinkling lights, creating a magical atmosphere. Free shuttle services are typically provided to help attendees navigate the event and enjoy the festivities. It’s a cherished local event that brings the community together to celebrate the start of the holidays.
