Jump/Cut Film Challenge

It goes like this…
Jump/Cut gives 12 teams of filmmakers just 72 hours to make their vision a reality. You will write, cast, shoot and edit your film / we will help you celebrate your work with a screening of the films, awards and a wrap party.
Each film will be 5 – 7 minutes long, and there is one catch; we get to help you pick your genre and your team gets a common line of dialogue, a prop and a local landmark that must play a part in all Jump/Cut films.
Leading up to the challenge, all team membrers will spend 2 days working with industry veterans on developing, pitching, festival strategy, production, distribution, script-writing and character development. These “mentors” will be available throughout the challenge and stick around to jury your work.
We finish with a competitive screening and awards ceremony in front of a live audience on Sunday March 19, 2017 at the historic Marion Theatre in downtown Ocala, Florida – followed by our Jump/Cut wrap party. This is good old-fashioned, “sleep when you’re dead” filmmaking, at its best. Be there!
