Awake The State! Beginning of 2017 Florida Legislative Session

March 7, 2017 is the first day of the Florida Legislative Session.

We’ve invited speakers familiar with a range of subjects affecting our community directly to join us from 5:00-7:00pm to address our inadequate and unjust state budget. Whether it’s public education, health care coverage, reproductive rights, environmental protection, or any priority area, Florida’s budget doesn’t reflect the priorities of everyday Floridians.

With Gov. Scott and leaders in the Florida Legislature calling for hundreds of millions in unnecessary cuts and tax giveaways to the wealthy and well-connected, it’s time to Awake The State.
