The Marion Cultural Alliance (MCA) operates the Brick City Center for the Arts, a popular art gallery, located in historic downtown Ocala. Monthly rotating exhibits feature art by regional artists. The venue, and its adjacent courtyard, is a sought after rental for special events.

Known to locals as “The Brick”, MCA was the champion in creating the art district we have in Downtown Ocala today. Long before this historic building became the Center for the Arts, it was known as The Hub – an appropriately fitting home for the hub of our arts community. The Hub was a clothing store from around 1953 that was owned and operated by Robert “Bob” Leibowitz.

Magnolia Art Xchange”]The Magnolia Art Xchnage (MAX) is Ocala’s first art incubator. MAX offers studio rentals for resident artists, as well as shared spaces for member artists, teachers, professional advisers and students for public workshops, classes and events. Through opportunities for public engagement, art enthusiasts can personally connect with artists and their art.
